Farris Blount III

Farris Blount III is a PhD candidate at Boston University School of Theology studying Practical Theology. His research interests lie at the intersection of church & society as he seeks to explore how we can build communities of care, concern, and human flourishing in the midst of rampant individualism, particularly within Christian church contexts, and Black church spaces in particular. Farris aims to apply an interdisciplinary lens to his work, relying on theological, sociological, and qualitative research methods to examine the impacts of race, class, and gender within ecclesial spaces.
