Micah Watson
Micah Watson is the William Spoelhof Teacher-Scholar-In-Residence Chair and Associate Professor of Political Science at Calvin College. He formerly directed the Center for Politics and Religion at Union University, and was a 2010-11 William E. Simon Fellow in Religion and Public Life at Princeton University.
With Justin Dyer, he is the co-author of the forthcoming C.S. Lewis on Politics and the Natural Law (Cambridge). He is the co-editor of Natural Law and Evangelical Political Thought (Lexington Books, 2012) and he has contributed chapters to several edited volumes, including Natural Law and Evangelical Political Thought, Justice as Unfairness: John Rawls and Christian Social Engagement (Lexington Books, 2014), Reason, Revelation, and the Civic Order: Political Philosophy and the Claims of Faith (Northern Illinois Press, 2014), and Statecraft as Soulcraft: A Case for Conservative Politics: The Hadley Arkes Festschrift (St. Augustine Press, 2013).
He earned his Ph.D. in politics at Princeton University, an M.A. in Church-State Studies at Baylor University, and a B.A. in political science at the University of California, Davis. He is from the great golden state of California, and lives with his wife and five children in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
